☕ From Bean to Brew: Our Outdoor Adventure in Jenggawah!
Learning doesn’t always happen inside four walls—sometimes, it happens amidst the lush greenery of a plantation! 🌿
Recently, our class took an exciting outdoor learning trip to the Coffee and Cocoa Research Center (PUSLIT Kakao dan Kopi) in Jenggawah. It wasn't just a field trip; it was a sensory journey into the heart of two of Indonesia’s greatest treasures.
What We Discovered:
The Science of Growth: Students got a first-hand look at how tiny seeds transform into sturdy coffee trees and vibrant cocoa pods.
The Art of Processing: From harvesting to roasting, we learned the meticulous steps required to create that perfect cup of coffee and that smooth bar of chocolate.
Hands-on Experience: There’s nothing quite like the aroma of fresh beans and the earthy feel of the plantation to spark curiosity!
It was a day filled with fresh air, "aha!" moments, and a newfound appreciation for the hard work behind our favorite treats. Seeing the students engage with nature and science in such a practical way was truly the highlight of the week.
Nature is indeed the best teacher! 🍫☕
