Learning with Ms. Aya

🌏 A Journey from the Caspian Sea to Our Classroom

Today, the halls of our Madrasah felt a little more global. We were honored to welcome a special guest all the way from Azerbaijan, the beautiful "Land of Fire" where East meets West.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Ms. Aya, who joined our International Program class to share stories from her homeland. From the futuristic flames of the Baku skyline to the ancient traditions of the Silk Road, Ms. Aya brought a piece of the Caucasus region right into our classroom.

Highlights of the Visit :

  • Language & Connection: We explored the similarities and differences in our traditions, finding common ground in our shared values of hospitality and respect.

  • Global Perspectives: This visit gave our students a firsthand look at what it means to be a global citizen, sparking curiosity beyond the pages of their textbooks.

Through Ms. Aya’s stories, our students didn't just learn about a new country; they built a bridge of friendship across borders. Thank you, Ms. Aya, for inspiring our International Program students to keep their eyes on the horizon!

Outdoor Learning

☕ From Bean to Brew: Our Outdoor Adventure in Jenggawah!

Learning doesn’t always happen inside four walls—sometimes, it happens amidst the lush greenery of a plantation! 🌿

Recently, our class took an exciting outdoor learning trip to the Coffee and Cocoa Research Center (PUSLIT Kakao dan Kopi)  in Jenggawah. It wasn't just a field trip; it was a sensory journey into the heart of two of Indonesia’s greatest treasures.

What We Discovered:

  • The Science of Growth: Students got a first-hand look at how tiny seeds transform into sturdy coffee trees and vibrant cocoa pods.

  • The Art of Processing: From harvesting to roasting, we learned the meticulous steps required to create that perfect cup of coffee and that smooth bar of chocolate.

  • Hands-on Experience: There’s nothing quite like the aroma of fresh beans and the earthy feel of the plantation to spark curiosity!

It was a day filled with fresh air, "aha!" moments, and a newfound appreciation for the hard work behind our favorite treats. Seeing the students engage with nature and science in such a practical way was truly the highlight of the week.

Nature is indeed the best teacher! 🍫☕

Cooking Vlog

🍳 Lights, Camera, Cook! The Ultimate English Cooking Vlog Challenge 🎥

Hello, my wonderful readers!

My students have successfully created their own cooking vlogs!

Firstly, Class Cooking Vlog Competition. They show off their culinary skills and their English fluency at the same time. Whether they're a master chef or a "noodle-boiling expert," Let see you shine!

And the Winner is...

It wasn't easy to pick a winner! I evaluated the entries based on three main ingredients: Content Quality, English Fluency & Accent, and Interesting Vlog.

I am so proud of how everyone stepped out of their comfort zones. From sizzling steaks to traditional desserts, these students proved that when you’re having fun, the words just flow naturally.

These are the best of chef-vloggers! 🎥✨

Speaking Test

The main purpose of a speaking test is to build a student's confidence and bravery when communicating in a foreign language. It aims to improve their fluency and pronunciation, ensuring they can speak clearly and correctly. Furthermore, it allows students to demonstrate their understanding of a subject—like Science—by explaining concepts in their own words. Ultimately, it develops essential communication skills, such as maintaining eye contact and using body language to convey ideas effectively.

ISRA' MI'RAJ

🌙 Celebrating the Miraculous Journey of Isra Mi'raj

Today, our school community gathered with joyful hearts to commemorate Isra Mi'raj, the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The event was filled with a beautiful spiritual atmosphere as students joined together in Sholawat, sending praises and blessings upon the Prophet. Their voices echoed through the halls, bringing a sense of peace and love to our school.

To spark excitement and test our knowledge, we held an Islamic Religious Quiz Competition. Students competed with great enthusiasm, answering questions about the history of Isra Mi'raj and the basics of Islam. It was wonderful to see our young learners so eager to showcase their understanding of our faith.

Through this celebration, we hope to strengthen our students' love for the Prophet and inspire them to be diligent in their five daily prayers.

Each group had the fanchat such as Takbir's group, they must said Allahu Akbar.. or Tahmid's group, they had shouting Alhamdulillah.. and toyyibah sentences others.
